But it is not hard to have white teeth thanks to teeth whitening.
What is Teeth Whitening?
The teeth whitening process is quite different from the polishing process after the tartar cleaning process. In the teeth whitening process, the own color tone of the tooth can be lightened by 2-3 tons and it can be applied with different methods.
What are the Types of Teeth Whitening?
- Office Type Bleaching
Office-type whitening is the most effective method among all teeth whitening systems. Since the peroxide ratios of the bleaching agents used in the bleaching process performed during the examination are higher, the bleaching is faster and the permanence is longer. Before the teeth whitening process is applied, the patient should be cleaned of calculus before whitening.
- Home Bleaching
In the home bleaching system, a transparent plaque suitable for the patient is produced by determining the color and the measurement taken from the patient before the treatment. In home-type teeth whitening, bleaching agents containing a lower percentage of “Carbamide Peroxide” are used. The prepared transparent plaque and tubes containing the whitening agent are given to the patient and the physician explains how to apply it to their teeth. The patient applies it in accordance with the recommendations of the dentist.
How Long Does Teeth Whiteness Last?
Although it varies depending on the factors that vary from person to person, the whiteness of the teeth continues between 3 months and 3-4 years. While the life of acquired whiteness is shorter in individuals who use tea, coffee, and cigarettes, the lifespan of whiteness can be much longer in other individuals. Regular controls are provided every 6 months before the teeth return to their old colors.
